Embark on a searingly honest conversation with your drum, psyche and Nature to initiate a deeper intimacy and purpose with the Great Mystery, and to lean into questions that can make or break a life.
This Solo Daylong Vision Fast is a guided 12 hour long ceremonial pilgrimage into your local wilds to begin or strengthen the critical existential conversation with Self and Mystery and the More Than Human World. It's an opportunity to sever from the world of commerce, relationships, media and daily concerns, to invite your somatic wisdom, dismissed emotions, existential questions, dreams of your hidden depths, and your heart's tender longings, to arise and guide you
towards a more meaningful & authentic living.
The journey begins with a personal mentoring session with Palika to discover what is heart breaking, dying, birthing, shapeshifting, unfolding, confronting, dreaming and stalking you in the depths of your heart. Palika will co-design with you, a personalized intentional day alone, fasting from food, in your local Wilds, listening and praying and releasing with your drum accompanying you as portal, ally, guide.
For your wander, I will offer various evocative practices with the animate web of life, that you might meet whomever and whatever Mystery deems necessary for you to encounter, that will bring you closer to your authentic self, by revealing mysterious clues that point to psycho spiritual and ecological developmental tasks you are ready to embark on to live your unique place in the web of life.You can expect some of these kinds of occurences on your daylong fast and wild wander with your drum from sunrise to sunset: drumming, crossing thresholds, creating altars and making offerings, prayer and movement, tears, active imagination, conversations across the species boundaries with the Other Than Humans, journaling, drawing, painting, telling stories, grieving, dreaming and deep listening, being still. You will likely experience surprising and meaningful encounters with spider, fern, wren, pine, sky, creek, or stone.
From this moment of our first session and through the completion or your 12-24 hour solo wander and fast, you will begin to pay close attention and track imagery from night dreams, encounters with Nature, and daydream imagery as well - in a journal, to aid in the deepening communion with the world, your own animal body, and the shapeshifting and change that might happen to you.
When you embark on this personalized sojourn and fast with your drum, trust that everything that is meant to - will happen to you - you won't figure anything out. Upon your return, we will schedule another Mentoring Session where we will harvest and gather the Nature encounters, insights, whisperings, imagery, flavors, textures, voices, poems, etc. making themselves known to your heart and psyche as you "got lost" with your heart and drum.
